Queen Bee 2023 supporting Catholic Charities Wichita

Help me provide shelter, food and assistance to Wichita families in need.
Hello! My name is Adriana Gray and I am honored to be participating in this year’s Queen Bee campaign. I’m originally from Juarez, Mexico, a border town adjacent to El Paso, but I moved to Wichita at the age of 13. After over 20 years in Wichita, I'm not sure which to call my hometown!
As a teenager, I was a parishioner at The Cathedral. During my time there, I was a Matachin (dancer for Lady of Guadalupe) and was highly involved in the parish. Now as parishioners at Church of the Magdalen for over 8 years, I have been a member of the Stewardship Council, Parish Council, and several other ministries.
I first visited St. Anthony Family Shelter years ago during a field trip with my oldest daughter. I was extremely impressed with what an incredible facility it was. Having kids, I can’t imagine being without housing, transportation, or a job needed to provide what they need. Thanks to St. Anthony Family Shelter, families can receive the support they need to provide for their children.
Just recently, I was able to tour Harbor House. To say I was impressed with their services is an understatement. Knowing we have facilities that provide this type of support to domestic violence survivors makes me proud to be a resource to help.
Growing up as an involved parishioner in every single one of our parishes, I have always desired to help others, and be that guidance that at some point I needed as teenager. I am excited to be a resource for Harbor House and St. Anthony Family Shelter so I can be part of their work helping families. My hope is that you, too, will desire to join in this effort by making a contribution to my campaign.
Help me meet a $5,000 match! With the help of a generous partner, I have established a $5,000 matching fund. This means your gift will have double the impact, as every donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar.
