Queen Bee 2023

Harbor House Domestic Violence Shelter and the St. Anthony Family Shelter provide housing, food, and educational assistance to Wichitans in extreme crisis. I'm honored to champion for these initiatives through the Queen Bee campaign. I recently toured both shelters which are at capacity and have 10+ daily calls that they are not able to fulfill. One-hundred percent of contributions to this campaign provide educational support, shelter, and food to those in need.

$1,000 prepares four students for school by buying school supplies and properly fitting clothing

$500 equips two families with basic kitchen essentials when they move out of shelter

$250 provides 82 individual meals for shelter residents

$100 covers the expense of one night in shelter for a family

$75 supplies a mom with two weeks of formula and diapers for her baby

$50 provides two weekly bus passes to travel to work and appointments

The average length of shelter is 34 days for St. Anthony Family Shelter and 65 days for Harbor House. Last year both shelters provided a safe place and warm meals for 244 adults and 392 children.
