Queen Bee 2023

Hello! My name is Kristen Buckles, and I am so excited to be part of this year’s Queen Bee court. I was born and raised in Wichita and have always called it home. As a commercial banker with Fidelity, I love that my job allows me to give back to our city by supporting local entrepreneurs and their businesses. My Husband, Chris, and I are proud parents to three sons – Zeke, Noah, and Jack. All three boys attend St. Francis, where we are also parishioners.

A boy mom through-and-through, I can often be found cheering from the sidelines at their various sporting events. In rare moments of free time, I love to golf, run, cook, and read - but my favorite hobby is spending time with friends and family (especially when there’s food involved!).

I felt called to support Catholic Charities as a Queen Bee because their mission and vision align so well with our family’s beliefs. God calls each of us to build up the vulnerable in our community, and this is exactly what Catholic Charities does. Harbor House and St. Anthony Family Shelter provide critical services to people in their most difficult moments, while educating them so they can achieve long-term success.
