Join me in supporting individuals and families facing homelessness and domestic violence.

Hello friends! I am so happy you are here. My name is Erica Ammar and I am humbled and honored to be a part of this year's Queen Bee Court. Since I was a little girl, I have always had a passion for children and helping others. This led me to pursue a career in nursing and become a family nurse practitioner. The last nine years, however, I've had the privilege to be home raising my three children—George, Charlie, & Vienna—alongside my husband, Chad.

Last winter, I felt a deep calling to do something to help others in our community. Several weeks later, I received a call from Catholic Charities asking if I’d like to help serve. This is how I learned about Harbor House and St. Anthony Family Shelter. I was immediately captivated by the impact these ministries have on vulnerable children, women, and their families, as well as the resources and support they provide.

I was eager to help make a difference! This is what led me to join the Queen Bee Court. With your help and generous support, together we will play a pivotal role in supplying the resources families need to get back on their feet after experiencing domestic violence or homelessness.

I love this verse from Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the LORD, plans for your welfare, not for woe! Plans to give you a future full of hope!"

Please join me in giving to Harbor House Domestic Violence Shelter and St. Anthony Family Shelter where more than 2,400 families with children find refuge and a future full of hope.

Thank you to the following businesses for supporting a family of four for one month in shelter.
