About Mayor's Cup Regatta

For nearly 20 years,  the Mayor's Cup Regatta has been one of our largest fundraisers & the only one of it's kind in New England.   The Regatta raises funds to provide & expand our adaptive sports programs,  Since 1995 we've impacted thousands of adults and kids living with a disability.  
Not only will you have a great time on the water, but after your race, join us for a fantastic New England style Luau with Chef Brian Poe.  Luau tickets are included in some registrations and everyone (racing or not) may purchase tickets for the party. Bring your friends and family for this fun filled day with music, food, races, on shore activities & more.
This year we've added some new race categories including paddle board & kayak for kids & adults.  You can register for multiple races and create your own fundraising page too!  
All Ages 1-Mile Race (Paddle Board or Kayak): Stand-up paddle (SUP) boards and kayaks will start from the beach, paddle on the 1 mile basin course, and end with a 30 yard beach run/walk to the finish line. Open to all ages and abilities.  Paddlers may stand or sit or however you use/modify your board.   No experience necessary, but strongly recommended for youth 13 and under. 
Youth Sprint: This short 200 yard sprint race is for kids of all abilities aged 10 and under.  No experience necessary.
The Main Event!  Hawaiian Outrigger Race:  This year both single- and double-hulled Hawaiian Outrigger Canoes will race against each other in a 1/2 mile race in the Malibu Beach Basin.  All ages and abilities - no experience necessary.  Each team is encouraged to include at least one person living with a disability.   

All SUP and Kayak races are BYOB (bring your own board/boat) and bring your own life jacket.  Participants without proper fitting life jackets will not be allowed to race.

Choose Your Race!

All Ages 1 Mile Race and  Youth Sprint 

  • Registration fee includes race only.  
  • Luau tickets are available for purchase.   
  • Participants are responsible for brining their own board or kayak.
  • Participants must bring their own life jacket.  

1-Mile SUP or Kayak Race Registration:

  • $35 (ages 14+)
  • $25 (ages 13 & under)

Youth Sprint Race (kids 10 & under): $15

Outrigger Races

  • We supply the outrigger canoes, lifejackets, and steer person for each boat.
  • 5 heats with staggered start. 
  • Each heat will consist of 6 single hulled OC4s (4 paddlers) & 2 OC8 double hulled (8 paddlers per boat).   
  • Boats with 3 or more paddlers living with a disability may compete in both overall and disability related categories.  
  • All Outrigger registrations include admission to the New England style luau. 

Outrigger Canoe Team Registration:

  • $1,500 (OC4)  or 2 OC4s for $2,500!
  • $3,000 (OC8)

All guests (racing or not) are invited to the party! Tickets are $20 pp (ages 5+) & include a specially prepared beachside meal and non-alcoholic beverages. For guests 21+ alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.  






Your Support Makes A Difference

Challenge Yourself to Fundraise!

Take your Regatta participation to the next level and help more disabled athletes challenge themselves with our programs.

Although not required, we encourage you to set a personal fundraising goal. Your registration fee counts towards the goal you set.  We've got some cool incentives too. 

Individuals (Paddle Board & Kayak): Raise the following amount (includes your registration fee).

  • $125:  AccesSport hat or bag
  • $250:  2 Luau Tickets
  • $500:  4 Luau Tickets with reserved seating

Outrigger Teams: Fundraise beyond your team registration fee.  Outrigger registration fee does not count towards incentives, but will count toward your team's goal.  Each of your paddlers can fundraise so your team hits their goal and qualifies for the incentives below. 

  • Registration + $1,000:  Reserved team seating at luau.
  • Registration + $2,000:  Reserved team seating at luau & VIP team tent to enjoy during the Regatta. 
  • Registration + $3,000:  Reserved team seating at luau, VIP team tent for use during the Regatta, VIP expedited check-in.

Note that prizes are not cumulative. Team participants are not eligible for individual fundraising incentives unless also registered for an SUP or Kayak race.
