We are Resilient

Waiting is something the world currently has in common with people touched by cancer. All we can do is wait for news, wait for a biopsy result, wait to hug loved ones, wait to plan a birthday party. We are all waiting together, and this is the time we need community the most.

GivingTuesday Announces Day of Global Action for Giving and Unity in Response to COVID-19

#GivingTuesdayNow Brings Together Individuals, Nonprofits, Communities, Small Businesses, Brands and more; Provides Unifying Moment for Giving Back on May 5, 2020

GivingTuesday, the groundbreaking global generosity movement, is hosting #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of giving and unity, set to take place on May 5, 2020 as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.

Thanks to The Coleman Foundation we are pleased to announce that donations will be matched dollar for dollar up to $25,000! All gifts made on May 5th will be doubled! We hope you will consider giving generously and help us support the community that is in dire need of resources.

COVID-19 has generated new levels of anxiety and stress for us all, but cancer survivors and caregivers have lived with these challenges long before the pandemic. Therefore, we understand the hardship—especially social isolation—and fortunately, we know what can help: community.

At Twist Out Cancer, we understand the power of human connection during isolation. We know that when people can share and connect with each other, their world opens up in positive ways. Now, more than ever, we want to extend our #resilient community to anyone struggling with social isolation during this
difficult time.

What is resilience and how can it help others?
Resilience is about utilizing our inner strength and drawing from the lessons of others to survive and persevere. It is not about finding our way back to where we were, but rather seeing this as an opportunity to chart a new course. The cancer community knows a lot about being #resilient and we want to continue to help others find their strength.

How can you help?
Twist Out Cancer’s virtual programs continue to meet the needs of anyone touched by cancer, as well as all of us who are seeking connection while socially isolated, but the community still needs
your support.

Please consider donating to our Brushes with Cancer programs or helping to sponsor one of our virtual events. Your contribution, at any level, means we are able to spread our mission further and continue to build meaningful connections with each other.

All donations will be matched dollar for dollar thanks to the generosity of the Coleman Foundation who has committed $25,000 to support our campaign!
