How Your Support Makes a Difference

Marklund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves infants, children, teens and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs.

Marklund serves children and adults with profound developmental disabilities through a variety of specialized programs. We operate two residential campuses in Geneva and Elgin, offering 24-hour skilled nursing care and life-enriching support, and three day schools in Elgin, Geneva, and Bloomingdale, serving students ages 3–21 with autism, complex medical, learning, developmental, and emotional needs.

Marklund continues to step forward with open arms, meeting the needs families face when their loved one has special needs. Dedicated to treating each individual with dignity and giving them a voice, Marklund provides the highest quality of care – above and beyond state requirements.

This “Marklund Standard of Care" is not fully covered by the State of IL, leaving us a service gap of $16,636 per individual, per year. We need your help to close this funding gap!

100% of net proceeds from this event will be applied toward this gap in funding, to support Marklund’s residential programs and services.
