Financial Support for the McCarthy Family:
48-year-old Paramedic Sarah McCarthy was on duty on November 21st, when she developed chest pain. She ran numerous calls during her shift. She was transported to Missouri Baptist Hospital where she was diagnosed with an Aortic Dissection . She underwent emergency surgery to repair the vascular rupture. Sarah was doing so well that they were talking hospital discharge in just a couple of days. Unfortunetly, a second surgery was required. Following that surgery, Sarah suffered a catastrophic stroke and was transferred to Barnes Hospital.
During this time of uncertainty, we are asking for financial contributions to aid them with the unknown expenses they will certainly face.
Sarah has been a dedicated member of the Fire, EMS, and Police community since high school. She began her service as a Police Dispatcher for Warson Woods and Glendale, then joined the fire service as a reserve firefighter with the Eureka Fire Protection District. After earning her Paramedic license, she went on to serve for 23 years with the St. Charles County Ambulance District. Her unwavering dedication, loyalty, compassion, and reverence for helping others made her not only an exceptional Paramedic but an extraordinary human being.
Above all, Sarah’s greatest devotion has always been to her daughters, Claire and Elise, and her husband, Chris.
On behalf of Sarah's family, we thank you for your consideration.
