Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina wants you to know that we are doing everything we can to respond to the COVID-19 crisis - which means ensuring our food distribution procedures remain safe and strong in the wake of coronavirus. Our staff is committed to the health and safety of our community - to our partner agencies, our volunteers, and to those that are receiving food distributed from our warehouse. Help us continue to replenish our food supply to children, seniors, individuals impacted through loss of work/business cut-backs, and families who need food assistance like never before.

Funds are our greatest need and a wonderful way to multiply your giving. In the big picture, we are able to provide 7 pounds of food into the community for every $1 donated. On a regular basis, funds help keep refrigerated trucks on the road allowing us to pick-up and distribute fresh produce, dairy and meats to our partner agencies. We are able to purchase products by the pallet – securing much needed items at great pricing … and we need this now more than ever.

Help us practice social action while practicing social distancing. Set-up your very own COVID-19 Response Fundraiser and share with your network of friends, family, and co-workers to bring awareness to the cause that matters to you – hunger awareness. This is a difficult time for so many, but we know together we can help our community with their most needed item – food.
