Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina's COVID-19 Response Fundraiser

Will you join the Charlotte Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in supporting Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina and our hungry neighbors?  Making a donation is fast, easy, secure and will benefit a great cause!

Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina is currently working to respond to the COVID-19 crisis - which means ensuring food distribution procedures remain safe and strong in the wake of coronavirus. The staff is committed to the health and safety of the community - their partner agencies, volunteers, and to those that are receiving food distributed from their warehouse. Help continue to replenish their food supply to children, seniors, individuals impacted through loss of work/business cut-backs, and families who need food assistance like never before. 

Funds are the greatest need and a wonderful way to multiply your giving. In the big picture, Second Harvest is able to provide 7 pounds of food into the community for every $1 donated. On a regular basis, funds help keep refrigerated trucks on the road allowing for pick-up and distribution of fresh produce, dairy and meats to their partner agencies. They are also able to purchase products by the pallet – securing much needed items at great pricing, which is needed now more than ever. 

Join us and Second Harvest in practicing social action while practicing social distancing by making a donation today. This is a difficult time for so many, but we know together we can help our community with their most needed item – food.
