The Class XXVII HHS session in February includes a chance for some class members to volunteer at Second Harvest Food Bank (others will do a shift at Crisis Assistance Ministry). Everyone is welcome to bring canned goods or other items as donations for Second Harvest. Just make sure items are non-perishable, unopened, and include a nutritional label.
This fundraising page offers another, completely optional, way to contribute to ending food insecurity in North Carolina. The food bank can purchase 7 pounds of food for every dollar they receive. Use the "Donate Now" button at the top right to make a donation of any amount. Donations can be made anonymously.
