We are so grateful for your interest in hosting a Fund Drive!
Funds are our greatest need and a wonderful way to multiply your giving! We are able to provide 7 pounds of food into the community for every $1 donated! Funds enable us to purchase products by the pallet - securing much-needed items at great pricing – and help keep our refrigerated trucks on the road picking up and distributing fresh produce, dairy and meats to our partner agencies.
Based on the increasing need in our area due to COVID-19, we have raised our goal to $400,000 to help us assist more neighbors. With your support, we will be able to continue putting food on the plates of families whose children are missing school meals, seniors who are being asked to stay safely in their homes, and hardworking individuals impacted by decreases in work hours or layoffs. For an update on our COVID-19 outreach, please click here for a video from our CEO, Kay Carter.
How to get started
You can collect funds (cash or check) at your location, or use this platform to host an online Fund Drive. The online platform allows donors to pay with debit or credit card and issues a receipt directly to the donor upon completion of the donation.
If you would like to host an online Fund Drive, simply select “Join or Start a Team” (recommended for a company or large group drive) or “Start an Individual Fundraiser” to begin setting up your page. Once registered, you will have the ability to customize your fundraising page and share it via email and social media with the simple click of a button.
If you have any questions, please contact our Food & Fund Drive Coordinator, Celia Farmer, at cfarmer@secondharvest.org or 704-805-1750.
We greatly appreciate your support and look forward to working with you soon!
