22nd Annual Oktoberfest Castle of Cans "Virtual" Campaign, October 1-31, 2020

In a perfect world we would be collecting cans again. But just like most in 2020 we must embrace the virtual world, even in our collection to help feed our community. The need to have the campaign is critical as the needs in our community are greater than ever now! We are appreciative that Food Lion Feeds will again contribute 5000 lbs of food to Hickory's Oktoberfest Castle Of Cans campaign. Hickory Downtown Development Association and  St. Alban's Episcopal Church, campaign coordinator, invite you to join us and help us reach our goal!

For every $5 collected in our virtual campaign, Second Harvest can typically distribute 35 lbs. of food.  Our $5,000 collection goal would then provide the equivalent of  35,000 lbs. of food, exceeding  our 2019 collection of 30,933 lbs., and the food will be distributed to the 8 agencies in our community who feed our hungry. An attainable goal with your help!
