Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina's July 2023 - June 2024 Funds for Food Drive

Thank you for your part in ending childhood hunger this holiday season!

How can you participate this year? 

1. Participate by making a $5 donation. $1= 7lbs of food!

2. Email Info@QueencityLeague.org and we will drop off a collection bin to your business or apartment complex. 

3. Email Info@QueenCityLeague.org to have us pick up a grocery bag of non-perishable food items from you. 

4. Email @Info@QueenCityLeague.org to join our QCL volunteer group Thursday 11/16/2023 9:00am-12:00pm at the Second Harvest Foodbank warehouse to sort & package food items. 

Queen City League ("QCL") exists to bring the driven professionals of Charlotte together to share ideas, collaborate, educate, & grow personally and professionally through mutual accountability and community involvement. Join us for our second annual QCL Thanksgiving Food/Fund Drive for the benefit of The Second Harvest Food Bank Metrolina. A little bit of good individually goes a lot of the way together. 

Did you know there are over 485,000 people in our region living at or below the poverty line?  Over 155,000 are children at risk of going hungry every day.  But each of us can make a difference with a simple donation today.

Funds are Second Harvest’s greatest need and a wonderful way to multiply your giving.  In the big picture, they are able to provide 7 pounds of food into the community for every $1 donation!  Funds help keep refrigerated trucks on the road allowing them to pick-up and distribute fresh produce, dairy and meats to over 950 partner agencies. The Food Bank can also purchase products by the pallet - securing much-needed items at great pricing.  In short, funds result in critical and healthy foods reaching more people in need.
