Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina's July 2026 - June 2027 Funds for Food Drive

Hi, I'm Kennedy Bennett! My family's been hosting food drives at Headlines Barbershop in Charlotte for years, and I'm really glad you're here to help support Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina and our neighbors who need a hand.

Here's something that stuck with me: over 483,000 people in our region are living at or below the poverty line, and more than 151,000 of them are kids who might not know where their next meal is coming from. I've grown up watching our community show up for each other at every drive we've hosted, and this year my goal is to help provide 5,000 pounds of food to families in need.

Donating is quick and secure, and it makes a bigger impact than you'd think. Every $1 given turns into 7 pounds of food, so it only takes about $715 total to hit my goal — and every bit helps get us there. That money helps keep Second Harvest's trucks running so they can pick up and deliver fresh produce, dairy, and meat to over 950 partner agencies, and it lets them buy food in bulk at better prices.
