On a hot summer morning a little over 4 years ago, John and I went to the hospital to deliver our Sam earlier than we anticipated. Sam and I encountered a series of complications in the final stages of pregnancy and during delivery in the form of minimal change disease, acute fatty liver of pregnancy, and placental abruption. We are here today thanks to our amazing team of doctors and nurses, along with our endlessly supportive friends and family.

Not everyone is as lucky to have such an outstanding support system before, during, and after pregnancy. For that reason, our family supports the mission of March of Dimes in improving the health of babies by preventing premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality.

We are honored to be the Ambassador Family for the March of Dimes Signature Chef Event on Monday, September 26th. While this is the first time we are stepping into this role, we are very familiar with the importance of March of Dimes. My best friend, Ellen Osborne, delivered her daughters Caddie at just 24 weeks and Margy at 34 weeks. The Osborne Family’s ongoing partnership with the March of Dimes mission has been an inspiration to us for almost 10 years, and to have Adam and Ellen chairing this year’s event is very meaningful to our family.

As a tribute to our journey, the Osborne family, and those in need of the March of Dimes research and programs, we have set a $7,500 fundraising goal.

Please join us in supporting the March of Dimes and consider donating.

There is also an amazing opportunity for table sponsorship at the event. For sponsorship details, please reach me at echillebrandt@gmail.com or 402-301-1311.

Thank you!
