Why Participate?

The Omaha Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk and Family Festival is the Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands' largest annual fundraiser. Every dollar raised supports the programs and operations of an organization serving more than 700 families throughout the Omaha metro area.

This event is more than a walk! It is an investment in a more inclusive community where individuals with Down syndrome can thrive.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

Funds raised help provide educational opportunities, advocacy, and meaningful connections for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Support from the Walk directly funds programs such as the Down Syndrome Education Series, Young Adult Series, self advocate scholarships, medical outreach resources, educational materials for local school districts, family events that foster connection and belonging, and the professional staff who ensure the continued growth and sustainability of the Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands.

Thank you for your support!
