My name is Alyssa Lego and I'm the co-founder of the Morgan Marie Michael Foundation and Strut! brand. Five years ago, at the age of twelve, I realized the heartbreaking notion that my younger brother, Michael, was treated differently than me because of his disabilities. I remember the day I told my mother that I had wanted to create change in my community like it was yesterday. I was at the Starbucks drive-through when I proclaimed, "I want to start an organization to break stereotypes for kids like Michael. I want to call it 'Hello My Name Is.'" What started as a lesson plan program to raise awareness about the importance of respect, love, and tolerance for individuals with disabilities has turned into an empire. Today, at the age of seventeen, I am so grateful to have the opportunity to inspire the next generation of thought leaders and community builders.

The Morgan Marie Michael Foundation strives to enhance the lives of individuals on the autism spectrum through opportunities, appliances, and channels for enhanced living. We do this through our 365 programming, like our iCan iPad Gift Experience and our Strut! and Play program. Each year, we hold our signature event, Strut!, where we watch the best aspects of our community come together to create the change we wish to see.
