About East Valley Stop Traffic Walk 2024

The mission of the Stop Traffic Walk is to raise awareness and funds for Where Hope Lives, which is the largest human trafficking rescue and rehabilitation operation in North America. The Where Hope Lives operation is currently rescuing approximately 250 people each year with a 94% success rate for survivors one year after graduating from the program! Each person rescued receives complete education services with an onsite trauma-informed high school as well as continued education, career training, and a job placement program. The program also focuses on full-body healing with a private onsite medical facility that addresses survivors’ needs and provides personal behavioral health care and healing services.

The East Valley Stop Traffic Walk additionally raises funds for the Hope Starts Here program through the Phoenix Dream Center. By joining in this event, you will be part of the solution to rescue trafficked individuals and give them the skills necessary to build a strong and vibrant life.

The East Valley Stop Traffic Walk event will start at 4:00 PM at Rock Point Church and will include family friendly activities, food, vendor booths, and more. The walk will take place at 6:15 PM and will be less than a mile. This is your time to take a stand for the injustice that is taking place today and show your support for those who have survived.

    Why Participate?

HUMAN TRAFFICKING. It’s modern-day slavery. And it’s believed to be the third-largest criminal activity in the world. There are an estimated 40 million victims of human trafficking, globally.

The Stop Traffic Walk raises funds for the nation’s largest human trafficking rescue & rehabilitation operation in North America. The funds you raise through the Stop Traffic Walks in East Valley will also help local efforts to raise awareness through the Hope Starts Here program. Our goal is to rescue trafficked individuals, and give them the skills necessary to build a strong and vibrant life.
