Anyone can participate from anywhere, either as individuals or safely with small groups.

General registration is $35 per person. Special rate of $25 for breast cancer survivors. All registrants will receive an official Standup for the Cure jersey.  Second Order of Jerseys is in process.  Please register by Aug 31, 2021 to ensure delivery by September 30, 2021.  ***Note: We have added a new registration option "No Jersey Registration"  for those of you long time supporters that have 10 jerseys and would prefer your registration fee to go directly to our community impact!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

Participants can “Standup for the Cure” while practicing yoga, paddling (canoe, kayak, SUP, paddleboard), swimming, hiking, running, CrossFit, Pilates, and more. Participate in different challenges and share your experience in images and stories for our official SUFTC 2021 Scrapbook. Be sure to use the hashtag #SUFTC!  Pick any date between August 6 and October 31 for your "Micro-Event" and share with us.  If you wish, SUFTC will promote and invite others to join you.

PHYSICAL EVENT IN MICHIGAN:

Great news, our team of Ambassadors and Super Stars in Muskegon, MI are hosting a physical event on September 4, 2021 at Ross Park, Norton Shores. The event will be smaller in scale, but with all the empathy, compassion and Aloha of our huge events. Simply register as usual, join your favorite Muskegon Fundraising Team or create your own.

Make sure to RSVP for the Ross Park Event under the "Special Events" Tab. ***We will have a limited number of jerseys on hand at Ross Park. Must register online prior to event.

Space will be limited in order to maintain a safe gathering and registration will be required for entry.  Although, this will be smaller than our past in-person events, it will still be a festival-style, family-friendly event for paddlers of all levels. We invite you to register and save your spot early.  Fundraise with your family, friends, and coworkers and help money to fight Breast Cancer!

Funds raised will benefit Hackley Community Care and the Van Andel Institute.

***After you register for the summer campaign and join your favorite team, Michigan folks planning to attend the September 4th event must RSVP on the "Muskegon In-person Event" under the Special Event Drop Down Menu***

MICRO-EVENTS:

If you are a Team Leader who is hosting a "Micro-event", please let us know the details: date, time, location and we'll share with participants in your zip code if you wish.

Why Participate?

Save Lives While Promoting Wellness, Fitness, and Fun

Since 2012, Standup for the Cure has been uniting paddlers, fitness enthusiasts, yoga practitioners, medical professionals and the breast cancer community in an effort to save lives. We are a compassionate community engaged in raising funds and awareness for this important cause while fostering wellness for the body, mind and soul with activities for the whole family! Together, we have raised over $1.3M to date.

We invite you to Standup with us in 2021!

How Your Support Makes a Difference

Raise Funds for Breast Cancer Detection, Treatment, and Education

Donated funds are returned to the local community in the form of breast health program grants to clinics and other local effective organizations for screening, education, treatment and psychosocial support programs for uninsured and under-insured women. Standup for the Cure's proceeds support the following beneficiaries:

Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation

"Because of SUFTC’s support, we will be able to bring more breast health programs and cancer support services to those who need them most in SoCal.” —Megan Klink, CEO of Susan G. Komen Orange County

Van Andel Institute (VAI)

"The funds raised through Standup for the Cure help VAI scientists continue our work to uncover the causes of cancer — an important step toward new, more effective diagnostic and treatment strategies." —Carrie Graveel, Ph.D., Senior Research Scientist at VAI

Hackley Community Care

“As a recipient of Standup for the Cure’s generous donation, Hackley Community Care (HCC) will be able to provide additional breast cancer screening and support services to uninsured men and women, which greatly aids in the early detection and treatment of breast cancer, which we know saves lives.” —Linda Juarez, CEO of Hackley Community Care
