Fundraising is not my thing - I don't like to be asked to donate, nor do I enjoy asking others for donations; however, the Mission of the YMCA is so compelling, that I have become a member of the Board, and I happily donate to a cause that inspires our community to flourish in mind, body and spirit. I enjoy pursuing my own health and fitness at the YMCA, while knowing that my dues and donations reach beyond the walls of the facility. Community outreach, health and fitness for youth, development of athletic aptitudes and abilities, education on safety around water as well as general health and nutrition advocacy for all ages -- all of these things (and the many more community initiatives) empower me to reach out to YOU to join me in donating to a cause that has real world, tangible benefits to our community.
