About Syracuse Dance-A-Thon 2019

Why are we getting down for Down syndrome? Because ACCEPTANCE MATTERS. Because EMPOWERMENT MATTERS. Because LOVE MATTERS. Playhouse families, volunteers, sponsors and friends will unite on Saturday, October 19th, in support of individuals with Down syndrome at GiGi’s Playhouse Syracuse’s 2nd annual Get Down for Down Syndrome Dance-a-Thon! With your support, we will be raising awareness for individuals with Down syndrome. All donations will support our FREE, purposeful programs that help kids and adults with Down syndrome improve their speech, literacy, math, fitness, career skills, and self-confidence. Thank you for your belief & support!
This is the way it works: Once you sign up, you ask people to join your team, donate, or sponsor you while you Get Down For Down Syndrome. It can be friends, family, co-workers, etc. Post it on your social media channels. Plenty of resources are available to you under the "Get Involved" section above.

Why Participate?

GiGi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center’s mission is to change the way the world views Down syndrome through national campaigns, educational programs, and by empowering individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community. We offer free therapeutic and educational programming to individuals with Down syndrome and their families.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

Through free programs and through our Generation G Campaign for global acceptance, we EMPOWER families by maximizing opportunities for daily achievement and lasting acceptance. To ensure lasting acceptance, we must show the world what individuals with Down syndrome are truly capable of achieving as students, co-workers, volunteers, friends, and valued members of their communities. Our program outcomes help advance this vital social impact goal.
