2023 South Lake Tahoe Plunge supporting Special Olympics Nevada

Join SONV’s efforts to establish an independently run Special Olympics program in Nevada by attending our 2023 South Lake Tahoe Plunge Event!
Celebrate our “Battle Born” spirit by attending this event in your best “Independence” themed costume!
This is our break-away year, so help us meet our fundraising goal by registering today!
Event Check-In Begins at 9 a.m.
Our goal is to engage and educate the community about Special Olympics athletes and how they foster inclusion by participating in the Plunge.
We encourage everyone to bring at least one family member, co-worker, or friend to register and Plunge with you. Better yet, be a Team Captain and invite everyone you know to be a part of this crazy event. The funds you raise will ensure that Special Olympics athletes have their vital sports and health programs during these challenging times.
There are a few ways to register: you can register as a Plunger and make a splash or register as a Chicken and participate while staying dry and cheer on your teammates from the sidelines. You'll make your choice when you register.
Enjoy the weekend and take advantage of the great room rates Caesar's Hotel is offering our participants. Rooms must be reserved by March 22 so don't delay. Rates are good for Friday and Saturday night.

Costumes are encouraged, so dress to impress!
Your participation will directly support our inclusive sports, health, schools and leadership programs for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
Through Special Olympics, our athletes build friendships, overcome obstacles and are empowered to realize their full potential. Success on the field leads to more opportunities in daily life as the community learns about the unique abilities and contributions of our athletes. All Special Olympics programs are provided at no cost to the athletes and their families thanks to your support.
The Polar Plunge is an iconic tradition in Special Olympics in which brave supporters take a chilly winter dip to show their dedication for our athletes. Our Plunge is a family event and costumes are encouraged! You'll have a blast and feel good knowing that the funds you raise will help us change lives.
