TCS New York City Marathon supporting National Ovarian Cancer Coalition

This year I am honored to run with the NOCC Team Teal in memory of my Aunt Kathleen & all who battle ovarian cancer
Hi friends and family,
On November 3rd, 2024 I will be running the NYC Marathon for my second time! However, this year I will be running as member of the NOCC TEAM TEAL, alongside my brother, in memory of our Aunt Kathleen and all those impacted by ovarian cancer.
My Aunt Kathleen was a miraculous woman. Her time was cut too short, but she exemplified how to live it fully and with the utmost love. She was the type of person who would send you a handmade birthday card with glitter confetti. She would ask how are you doing and thoughtfully listen. When you spoke to her, you became the most important person in the world.
My Aunt Kathleen was the first person to believe in me as a photographer, putting faith in my ability to capture my cousin's Bar Mitzvah celebration. I had my doubts, but she had none. She saw me better than I could see myself. She was a painter and a teacher. She was a wife, a mother, an aunt, a friend, and an inspiration to us all. Even as she battled ovarian cancer for her fifth time, her spirit could not be broken.
As I run I will think of her unwavering strength. As I fundraise, I reflect on my Aunt Kathleen, my family, and all those in the ongoing fight against ovarian cancer.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, makes a huge impact.
Your donation to the NOCC will support national programs and local market initiatives to heighten awareness of the subtle signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, assist newly-diagnosed patients throughout the country, provide ongoing support to caregivers, and advocate for the advancement of ovarian cancer research.
Thank you so much for your support ♥️
With love,
Gail
