Running to Build Families

On Sunday, November 6, 2022 I will be running in the TCS New York City Marathon for Team Helpusadopt.org!!! 

I discovered the joy of running while working in technology for a cloud security firm. What started as a dreaded, means-to-an-end weight loss activity, developed into a passion and eventually to setting the goal of completing a marathon, which I achieved in 2017 at the Kaiser Permanente Colfax Marathon.

The urge to run a long way has struck again, and with the support (and permission 😊) of my partner James, I am focused on becoming a two-timer when I complete the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon as a member of Team HelpUsAdopt.Org. 

James and I are blessed to be the godparents of an adopted child. I am so honored to support this incredible charity that brings families together through life-changing adoption grants.

Since 2007, Helpusadopt.org has awarded over 500 adoption grants totaling over 4.6 million. Helpusadopt.org's average grant is around $10,000 - this means that together Team Helpusadopt.org will raise enough to build 7 families.
