Team Kidney - 2021 Chicago Marathon

I am beyond excited to be running the 2021 Chicago Marathon as a member of Team Kidney. The National Kidney Foundation is near and dear to my heart in more ways than one. In 2019 I lost my dad to kidney failure. In 2020 I met my soulmate and the love of my life, Meredith Sutton. In 2021 I made her my wife! She is currently in end stage renal failure and does daily life sustaining dialysis while we wait for the perfect kidney donor. Her strength and attitude throughout this journey is the most motivational and inspiring thing I’ve ever seen. Every training mile, every ache and pain along the way, every near heat stroke is all for her. I can’t wait to cross the finish in October with the hope that I have made a difference in her life and all of the millions of others living with this disease and waiting for a donor.
