7 years ago I was part of a non-directed kidney donation chain which allowed 2 wonderful individuals to be taken off dialysis and resume their lives for the first time in years. Before I donated, I was on the NKF website constantly, reading up on the donation process and educating myself on everything I needed to know to feel comfortable with the surgery.
