About Team MCCP
This year, members of Team MCCP can choose how they’d like to participate: running in the Maine Marathon* on Sunday, October 2nd or committing to a Marathon Run Streak by running one mile per day for 26 days (October 2nd-October 28th). No matter how you plan to participate, together we’ll be lacing up to raise vital funding and awareness for the patients and families at Maine Children’s Cancer Program!
Each Team MCCP member will be given the opportunity to earn exclusive MCCP swag through our fundraising incentive program!

Why join Team MCCP?
For over a decade, a dedicated group of runners known as Team MCCP have come together to run in the Maine Marathon with one common goal: to support the patients and families receiving life-saving care at Maine Children's Cancer Program. This special team is made up of patients' loved ones, MCCP caregivers and clinicians, and selfless community members who simply want to make a difference. Due to the pandemic, some of our runners over the past two years have taken part in a virtual Marathon Run Streak Challenge by running 1 mile a day for 26 days–making our team even stronger in numbers and more far-reaching, with Team MCCP members joining in on the fun from around the country!
By joining forces with Team MCCP, you’ll be uniting with like-minded individuals who have a passion for both running and making an impact within our community. Anyone is welcome to join our team–whether you’re a seasoned marathoner or just bought your first pair of running shoes, you can help make a difference for kids here in Maine!
