About The Den Food Pantry Campaign Page
Did you know that a staggering one in three college students face food insecurity and many do not have access to federal food programs and other relief assistance? The COVID-19 pandemic has only exacerbated this genuine struggle.
The Den, Wilmington University's food pantry, helps students experiencing food insecurity, which is defined as a person's inability to obtain enough nutritious food to live a healthy life. With your help, we can create a food-secure campus to provide life-changing support to our students.
Without nutritious food, it is challenging to think critically, perform well academically, and have the energy to function properly. When students go hungry, they lose the ability to focus, retain knowledge, complete assignments effectively, and perform sufficiently while testing.
