Tropical Nights 2021

I hope you will join me as we celebrate Tropical Nights 2021 and honoring Dr. Michael Alessandri for his 25 years at UM-NSU CARD and in our community. I have had the honor of knowing Michael for most of these 25 years and have worked by his side for 19 of those years. Michael is an incredible leader and most importantly cares for each and every family that he works with. Through his leadership I have watched our growth from 2,000 families to over 13,000 families today in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties. His love and dedication for our community is seen every day through the incredible work he has done for our families and community partners.

Please help me raise funds and awareness for the programs and services provided by UM-NSU CARD. Some of our services include: working with local businesses to help create jobs, assisting adults with ASD to connect and find jobs by creating opportunities for them to practice interviewing and building their resumes, providing surf and summer camps and so much more. They work with professionals from therapists to administrators, public and private schools, city representatives and so much more to create an inclusive community for individuals with autism and related disabilities. ALL of this is done at no cost to them. I see the difference they make every day as we watch our families grow and become part of our own family. We have been able to provide all of this and so much more under Michael’s leadership. I hope you will join me in celebrating his 25 years with us!
