This summer is yours to move!
Commit to logging 100 miles of your activity of choice and make a difference in the lives of children and adults with disabilities in our community through Turnstone's second annual "Push Paddle or Pedal"! This year, our challenge is running all summer long - from Friday, May 28th to Monday, September 6th.
Staying active is a choice you can make today to stay healthy. Do what you find most enjoyable - walking the trails, pushing in a wheelchair around the block, pedaling on a bike around town, or paddling along the rivers and lakes in a kayak or paddle board. No matter what you choose, the miles you log will ensure people with disabilities have access to the resources they need to live their fullest lives.
Your registration fee and any additional funds raised will ensure that people with disabilities in our community continue to receive the services and support they need most. Jump on board as a sponsor, corporate team champion, a team of friends or family members or as an individual to help raise awareness and support for Turnstone clients.
Make the choice to join us today!
Register yourself or gather a team of family, co-workers, or friends across the country. Complete your miles and create smiles for people with disabilities.
Your $25 registration fee includes a t-shirt and token for a free beverage of choice at Hop River! Stay tuned for more details on how to pick up your t-shirt and token. You can join us on the STRAVA app to log your miles.
Curious as to where you can Push, Paddle or Pedal around the Fort? Check out this post our friends at Visit Fort Wayne created!
Complete your miles in any way you choose! Inside or outside; alone or together; online and off you can encourage your Push, Paddle or Pedal team and other friends and family to make physical activity a priority in their day. We encourage you to download and use the STRAVA app to log your activity miles - you can join our challenge here. If you're more into keeping track through pen and paper - we've made a printable mile log here! You can email your mile log to firstname.lastname@example.org at the end of the summer.
And if you're participating in Fort Wayne's annual Fort4Fitness event on Saturday, September 18, or any other fitness event, include your training race day mileage in your Push, Paddle or Pedal totals! (There is still time to register for Fort4Fitness events by clicking here and choose Turnstone as your charity partner for an added boost of generosity!)
And, all of the funds from your registration fees and additional dollars donated to your miles will directly support people with disabilities through our programs and services while building awareness about Turnstone's resources and services in our community.
Turnstone's mission is to empower people with disabilities to achieve their highest potential while helping to create a world that accepts and values people based on their abilities.
Just like Turnstone's programs and services, anyone can participate in the Push Paddle or Pedal event no matter your age or ability. You choose to move in the best way for you!
Join us on our 100-mile journey to educate our community about individuals with disabilities while feeling empowered to take charge of your own mental and physical health.
