Hope Grows understands that the holidays can be challenging for family caregivers. We hope to lighten the load a little by providing the opportunity for families to receive turkey meals, so a few years back we partnered with Bob Evans in Moon Township to help us help caregivers.
The objective was to make available a full complete turkey meal for families that are struggling with the demands of providing care for someone. The reason for this was not financial, it was based on the strain and stress of adding one more task to a caregiver's already busy schedule, especially around the holidays.
Delivering 55 dinners our first year, the program has grown to deliveries of 172 dinners last year, our third year. We hope that we are able to deliver 200 dinners this year and possibly add another Bob Evans location, for easier delivery on the east side of Pittsburgh.
