United Way’s Emerging Philanthropists are leading the charge to raise $40,000 to support the Ujima Initiative of On Track to Success to provide relevant cultural support and programming for Black youth.

Our UNevent on November 30th, 2021 will celebrate all those who stayed home to change the life of a student by donating to United Way.

Your gift to #UNevent4Ujima can change a student’s life and enrich the lives of black youth.

Ujima (oo-JEE-ma) is a Swahili word meaning collective work, union, and/or association. It was adopted into Kwanzaa as the third principle.

Racially-marginalized youth face additional cultural and racial barriers navigating through secondary and post-secondary schools. The Ujima Initiative is an equity strategy of the On Track to Success (OTTS ) program. The program will be enriching OTTS students by providing relevant cultural support and programming to Black youth.
