Walk to raise money and awareness of SitStayRead from October 13-27. You can walk solo, with a dog, without a team, or with one. The options are endless. Each participant and team will have their own page where they can set goals, share photos, invite friends, and post updates to the timeline.
The more you walk, post, or fundraise, the more points you earn! There are 3 daily walk challenges– 15 mins, 30 mins, or 45 mins. You pick the challenge that works best for you. But on top of that, we'll have bonus challenges, encouraging you to walk to some of our favorite spots around the city. Click the Walks & Challenges up top to learn more. I'M NOT A HUGE WALKER. CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE?
Yes! Walk-a-palooza is about having fun, connecting with the SitStayRead community, and making a difference. How you decide to do that is completely up to you! We've also included some non-walking challenges to ensure Walk-a-palooza is accessible for all.
I don't have a dog. Can i still participate?
Yes! Walk-a-palooza is an inclusive event, you don't need a dog to participate; just the inherent belief that all students deserve to discover the love of reading.
Nope, fundraising is not required to participate, but it's encouraged, and we promise to make it super easy for you. Check out our fundraising resources for some tips and tricks to raise money.
Unleashed is the official Walk-a-palooza afterparty! It will take place after Walk-a-palooza ends on Friday, October 28 at Bosly's Backyard from 5:30p-8:30p. Tickets are $30 (humans) and $15 (dogs). Buy tickets here.
