Through the annual Employee Giving Campaign, we have the opportunity to advance our mission and support students with financial need by investing in Walsh. Since 1993, Walsh employees have raised more than $413,525 in support of our students, while continuously surpassing 65 percent participation.
This year particularly has been difficult for our students and their families. Many have had to make tough decisions regarding the continuation of their education during a public health crisis. Students and families are still making tough financial decisions to stay on track for their degrees. Lost wages, internet expenses for remote learning, rent, medical bills and even food are all examples of requests flooding in to our Student Emergency Assistance Fund. Employee participation plays an important role in assisting our students in overcoming these challenges together.
We know this year has been financially challenging for many of us, and we ask for your thoughtful consideration of support to the Student Emergency Assistance Fund, or another fund or area you are passionate about. A gift of any amount helps a student stay in school at Walsh during this pandemic.
