Founders Day 2026

Music and theatre at Wayland inspire both individual growth and collaborative learning. Through the study of diverse musical styles, students refine technique for instruments and/or voice, learn to thoughtfully evaluate music, explore the origins of classical music, and build confident stage presence through both solo and ensemble performance.

A wide range of performance opportunities allows this learning to come to life. From the annual fall musical and spring play to campus events and community performances, Music & Theatre students regularly share their talents beyond the classroom. Participation in the Wisconsin State Solo & Ensemble Competition and Wayland’s Speech team further provides valuable performance experience, confidence, and recognition.
