The Weatherford Band and Color Guard strive to support every student in their pursuit of excellence. Our mission is to give these young musicians an exceptional educational experience, one that develops not only skilled performers but confident leaders and young adults who represent Weatherford with excellence. From the practice field to Friday nights at Roo Stadium, our students pour in the discipline, artistry, and heart that make this program a source of pride for the whole community.
Serving Others in Tangible Ways
This year, our students are turning that same drive toward something bigger than any performance. Our band will gather together in October to pack 10,000 nutritious, shelf-stable meals for families facing hunger both around the world and here at home. Many of these meals travel to South Africa, where our partners serve communities in and around Durban. In the township of Phoenix, where nearly 60 percent of adults are unemployed, these meals are a dependable source of nourishment and hope for families and schoolchildren. The rest stay right here in Parker County, distributed to neighbors in need through the Center of Hope and the Servolution Network's Blessing Boxes.
