Join us for our 24th Annual Walk for Hope… Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Awareness Event on Sunday, August 2nd at Saginaw Valley State University. There will be over 50 resource/activity booths, raffles, music, and guest speakers. The 5K walk/run or 1 mile walk will be untimed on paved walks throughout the SVSU campus.

All profits will support the Barb Smith Suicide Resource & Response Network's mission to prevent suicide through education, advocacy, connection to resources, and support for those impacted by suicide.
Our Network offers suicide prevention and aftercare trainings for the community to help create a safety net using multi-tiered trainings. In 2025 our Network delivered over 89 trainings reaching over 13,600 people in the community through training, podcasts, online awareness campaigns. The Network cared for over 1,500 people impacted by suicide or needing resources. We are proud to say our Network has been recognized as one of the leading organizations in Michigan to make an impact following the State’s recommendations.
