Wishes and Dishes

Since 1995, Make-A-Wish Georgia has been granting the wishes of local children facing critical illnesses. More than 20 years later, nearly 8,000 lives have experienced the impact of a life-changing wish. Make-A-Wish Georgia is a movement, powered by you, to renew families and communities disrupted by serious childhood illness. We all have the power to make wishes come true.

When you meet Ethan and hear him sing, you would never know that he has cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that causes lung infections and limits the ability to breathe. Ethan’s grandma bought him his first guitar when he was just 8 years old, and he has been playing ever since.

As his love of music grew, one artist stood out to Ethan. That artist was country artist, Luke Bryan and it was only fitting that his wish be to meet him. Nearly two years in the making, Ethan’s wish day finally became a reality in Dallas, Texas at Luke’s concert at the Cowboys’ stadium. While at the VIP meet and greet, Ethan played a few chords of Luke’s song, “I Do” to the famous artist. He was so impressed with his talent that he invited Ethan to perform with him on stage in front of 50,000 fans.

What started out as the common cold for five-year-old Angelica turned out to be an earth shattering diagnosis. Her cold developed into pneumonia, which eventually led to sepsis and the failure of her kidneys. Thankfully, her mother was a match to donate a kidney to young Angelica.

Angelica is an energetic and vivacious young girl who never let her illness get in the way of her positive attitude. She dreamed of one day of being a singer and is now living her dream after being the runner up on America's Got Talent.  She performs at concerts, shows, corporate events and sporting events all over the world and enjoys spending time in the studio where she is currently working on her debut album.
