We are so excited to be back in the water for our 18th annual Women Swimmin' for Hospicare!
All summer long our participants have been Going the Distance by walkin’, swimmin' laps, knittin’, bikin’, and pickin’ up trash and on August 14th our swimmin' women will jump in Cayuga Lake in support of compassionate care in our community! We hope you will join their efforts by donating! You can make a general donation or support someone you know!

Upcoming Events - Our livestream and Closing Ceremony are open to the entire Women Swimmin’ for Hospicare community. Feel free to invite your friends, family, and donors.

  • Go the Distance & Women Swimmin' Virtual Closing Ceremony - Celebrate all we have accomplished in support of compassionate care in our community. We will announce our top fundraisers, social media stars, and will be giving out Door Prizes! Contact us for the Zoom room number. Monday, August 16th from 7-8pm.

Swim Day:

THE ROUTE -  Swimmers will not be going across the lake. Our swimmin’ women will jump off the IYC north dock, head north east, then round the northern most buoy to head south. Swimmers will then round another buoy just south of IYC and then head northwest back to shore to get out at the south dock at IYC.

SUPPORT BOATERS - Swimmers will not have an assigned boater. The Kayak Safety Team and Support Boaters like YOU will be lining either side of the swim “lane” intending to help keep the swimmers on course.  All boats will be on the water for the entire swim (approximately 7-10am).

And no matter what, we hope that you will join us to support compassionate care in Cortland and Tompkins counties by participatin' and donatin'.
