100 Miles in 100 Days: Masters Swim Challege

About 100 Miles in 100 Days: Masters Swim Challege

This winter our masters swim team is taking on a big endeavor in the pool.  Beginning on January 1st, many of us will embark on a personal challenge to swim 100 Miles in 100 Days.  Together with our teammates, we will work to complete a total of 100 miles in the pool between January 1st and April 11th while raising money for a lifesaving cause: our YMCA’s Safety Around Water program.

As master swimmers, we believe that safe swimming saves lives and that all children should be equipped with the proper skills to safely enjoy water. Semones' Safety Around Water program (SAW) works to fulfil this mission by providing a series of complementary swim lessons to the children of our local community. SAW exists to equip as many youth as possible with the life skill of safe swimming. In addition to teaching young children this imperative skill, SAW also provides youth with the confidence they need to go out and swim.

Our team goal is to raise $3,000 for the Semones Family YMCA’s Safety Around Water initiative. We kindly ask that you consider supporting our efforts in the pool. Any and all contributions will provide us with the energy we need to complete all 100 miles, and will truly make an impact on the lives and safety of the children in our local Dallas community.
