In the TriState region, it was recognized that there were growing needs of service men and women returning from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Many were coming home with service-related disabilities – along with emotional trauma from their experiences at war. It was determined that there needed to be a support system that provided solutions.
In 2012, Easterseals serving Greater Cincinnati- with the support of the Farmer Family Foundation and the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile Foundation - set out to create a unique model that would bring the community together to make a real impact in the lives of veterans and their families. As a result, Easterseals has been able to help thousands of veterans of all ages and their families locally.
The organization's primary mission is to provide comprehensive support in any veterans journey to meaningful employment. In addition, Easterseals is the United Way partner for veterans who call seeking assistance with non medical urgent needs.

In fact during this time, we've connected nearly 40 veterans to employment many of them previously homeless!
