Alpha ROCK Tour 2021
I’m participating in the upcoming Alpha R.O.C.K. Tour to raise funds for childhood cancer research. This fundraiser is affiliated with the motorcycle charity ride "Ride 4 Our Cancer Kids aka ROCKRIDE", which will not take place in 2021 due to Covid-19.
Did you know that there are 10,000 children in Canada currently living with cancer and its often life-long effects?
Did you know that 1 in 5 will not survive, and many of the survivors will have serious life-long health problems due to their treatment?
Did you know that only 4-5% of cancer research dollars are devoted to children’s cancers?
The R.O.C.K. was founded by Bob & Lori Thomas after losing their daughter Samantha to Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma three days before her third birthday. This family-run, grassroots fundraiser has raised over half-a-million-dollars to date, with 100% of proceeds earmarked for the C17 Research Fund through Childhood Cancer Canada. These funds go to various research projects at the 17 Children’s hospitals across Canada.
