About 36th Schreiber Rubber Duckie Race & Festival

An inclusive event for all ages and abilities!

Our founder, Edna Schreiber, made a promise in 1936 to never turn away a child in need regardless of their family’s financial status and we intend to keep that promise as long as our doors remain open. By registering to race in our one-mile Duckie Dash, Relay Race, and 100-meter Duckling Dash you are helping us keep that promise.
Be a part of something special by registering to walk or run today help us reach our goal of raising $100,000 by September 8, 2024 to help #SchreiberKids reach their fullest potential!
And mark your calendar for the annual Rubber Duckie Festival being held at Schreiber Center on Sunday, September 8th. Adopt your duckie for a chance to win prizes including our $2,500 cash grand prize giveaway, and buy your unlimited game play festival wristbands today!

Why Participate?

Help #SchreiberKids Thrive!

Whether you sign up to run in our one mile dash or our kids duckling dash you will be signing up to help fund the cost of uncompensated care for every kiddo who enters our center in need of services. Can't make it to the event? You can still help Schreiber kids by hosting an individual or team fundraiser! And you can always adopt a duckie here to make a difference in the lives of #SchreiberKids.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

$2,500,000

That's how much money Schreiber loses every year on providing services to central PA kids in need. We make up this deficit through fundraising and grants. As the only pediatric therapy center in the area that accepts Medicaid insurance, about 95% of our kiddos rely on it as their primary insurance provider and payment method. Since Medicaid provides the lowest reimbursement rates for therapy services provided we end up losing about $74 per hour of therapy provided. Your support helps cover these costs!

Thank you for your support!
