About 2025 Montana Law Enforcement Torch Run
The Torch Run is an annual Law Enforcement Torch Run signature event. It is primarily organized, promoted and conducted by LETR Officers and volunteer teams where officers, volunteers and athletes take to the streets, highways and interstates across Montana to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics Montana athletes.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) is more than just a group of fundraisers—it's a movement that brings together law enforcement officers, Special Olympics athletes, and communities worldwide to promote inclusion and respect. By participating, officers and supporters play a vital role in raising awareness and funds for Special Olympics programs, empowering athletes with intellectual disabilities to compete, learn, and thrive.
The LETR also builds stronger community connections, fosters camaraderie among officers, and reinforces their commitment to serving and protecting in meaningful ways. Carrying the “Flame of Hope” symbolizes unity and hope, inspiring countless individuals to embrace diversity and advocate for a world where everyone has the opportunity to shine.
Ways to support the Law Enforcement Torch Run
1. Participate in Torch Run Leg
- Join as a runner, walker, or cyclist to help carry the "Flame of Hope."
- Invite Special Olympics athletes to lead or join sections of the run.
2. Fundraise
- Collect pledges from family, friends, and local businesses.
- Create an online fundraising page by registering for your area's leg here.
- Set up personal or team fundraising goals and pages online.
- Sell 2025 LETR T-shirts to raise funds and promote awareness.
