2026 5K9+ Run/Walk

Our annual 5K9 Walk/Run will take place at Lake Wazeecha Shelter House (Red Sands) on Saturday, May 9th. This event features a 5K+ walk/run around Lake Wazeecha, raffle baskets, bounce house and kids games, food trucks, and more!

Register by April 17, 2026 to confirm a t-shirt and Wag Bag!

Registration Fee: $30

Kids 12 and under are free (does not include a t-shirt and Wag Bag)

Help us make this day a success. After registering for the event, amplify your impact by sharing your individual link with friends and family and encourage them to help raise funds for shelter pets and join us for the day for spring-time fun!

Top Pledge Earners:

First: A family fun package that includes a Family Pass to Wisconsin Rapids Aquatic Park, 4 - Rafters 6-game packs for bleachers seats, 8 Mini Rapids mini-golf passes (donated by Mini Rapids), and a $50 Rogers Cinema gift card (Valued at over $500 donated by an anonymous donor)

Second: 55" TCL Smart TV (Valued at $250 donated by The Crow Bar)

Third: $100 Walmart Gift Card (Donated by an anonymous donor)

First 20 registrants to have $150 in pledges earns a free registration and a SWCHS t-shirt

Any registrant to have $300 in pledges earns a free registration and a SWCHS sweatshirt/hoodie

Saturday, May :  8 am - 9 am Pick up t-shirt and Wag Bag if pre-registered. On site registration will also be available.

Saturday, May 9 :   9am Race starts!

Following the race stay for food trucks, raffle baskets, kids games and bounce house, and more!

*Pets and shelter alumni are welcome to join, but please bring proof of rabies vaccination and keep your dogs on a leash at all times.
