- Personalize your fundraising page! Add pictures and words to tell others what Indian Creek Foundation means to you.
- Explore your page to see how your dashboard works and decide which fundraising tools are right for you. Update your goal, check out your progress, and reach out to friends through text, email, and social media to ask for support.
- Make your own donation first to start moving toward your goal, and share it as an example. Don't forget to name the campaign: #ICF2026DAY in your posts.
- Sharing your love for Indian Creek Foundation is the best way to grow our Day of Giving! By telling your own story of what ICF means to you, you will inspire others to give.
- Think about your whole circle of influence - going beyond your friends and family - to raise awareness. Talk to people at work, the gym, church, book club, sports activities, school, local businesses, and anywhere else you go to make sure everyone knows you are supporting a vital organization in the community.
- Get inspired by our Sample Messages to help you think of what to share.
- Make it your own campaign by using your natural abilities and talents to share why you are supporting this Day of Giving. If you are a master of social media, go live and make a reel. If you love to write, send out handwritten cards and letters. More of an artistic personality? Create an inspirational visual to share!
- Set your goal on your fundraising page and commit to reaching it. If you do reach it, set a new goal!
- Keep your goal and October 28th in mind so that you remember to share your story as often as possible. Check out our Fast Track to $250 and Fundraising Flow for ideas on how to stay on track.
- Set micro-goals and challenges to create excitement and a sense of urgency in fundraising with the messages you send out to your supporters.
- Connect with local businesses and organizations that might donate, provide matching gifts, or give a percentage of sales for a special fundraising night.
- Follow up with people who are still thinking about it. You never know when a reminder will catch someone at the most convenient time for them to complete their donation.
- Ask people to support you by sharing, even if they can't donate at this time. Your supporters can spread the word to help you reach your goal, whether or not they give financially.
- Always thank everyone for their support and donations. At Indian Creek Foundation, we're so thankful for friends like you who help us tell our story, and we hope your friends will join our mission as well! When you're thanking them, let them know how much their support means to us.
Step 1: Make your own donation of $20 or more to start showing progress, then share it on social media to inspire others!
Step 2: Call or text the 3 people who always show up for you no matter what, and ask them to donate $20 each. Your first $60 is a sure thing, bringing you up to $80+!
Step 3: Go live on social media and show the math. If just 10 friends give $10 each, you'll be at $180 without breaking a sweat.
Step 4: Go to Indian Creek Foundation's social media page and choose a post that means something to you. Share it with your own words about why this Day of Giving is so important, ask for 1 friend to add $20 to your goal, and you're in the home stretch with $200.
Step 5: Send a short and sweet text message with your fundraising link to your group chat (friends, family, book club, small group, happy hour crew, softball team, etc.) asking for 5 people to pitch in $10 each. You just met your $250 goal! It was so easy, maybe you can keep going for double!
