About the Program
Donate Life New York State (DLNYS) is proud to participate as an official charity partner in the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon, taking place on November 1, 2026. Through this program, DLNYS will field a small team of dedicated runners who will raise funds and awareness in support of organ, eye, and tissue donation across New York State.
The NYC Marathon Charity Team offers a meaningful opportunity for participants to combine athletic achievement with mission-driven impact, helping to educate communities and inspire lifesaving decisions.
Team Details
Runner Commitment
Members of the DLNYS NYC Marathon Charity Team commit to:
Specific fundraising deadlines, and policies will be clearly outlined and shared with selected runners prior to acceptance into the program.
In addition to these fundraising requirements, Runners are also responsible for paying their own registration fee to TCS NYC Marathon at the time of registration. All accepted applicants will receive a more detailed description of the registration process and requirements upon acceptance. The cost of participation is $255 for NYRR members and $315 for non-members, plus a 5.7% processing fee, all payable directly to the TCS NYC Marathon.

Selection Process
Interested runners are invited to complete an application outlining their connection to the Donate Life mission, fundraising experience, and motivation for participating. Applications will be reviewed by Donate Life NYS, and selected runners will be notified in advance of the official fundraising launch, and will receive a more detailed description of the registration process and requirements upon acceptance. The cost of participation is the responsibility of the runner, payable directly to TCS NYC Marathon.
