Running the NYC Marathon with Donate Life is deeply personal to me. As a nurse practitioner with 13 years of experience caring for transplant patients, I have had the privilege of walking alongside individuals whose lives have been transformed through organ donation. Each day, I care for kidney and pancreas transplant recipients, witnessing their resilience, gratitude, and renewed hope.

Having completed four marathons, I understand the physical and mental commitment it takes to reach the finish line. This race, however, represents far more than a personal goal—it is an opportunity to honor my patients, celebrate the gift of life, and raise awareness for the critical importance of organ donation.

I run for those who are waiting, for those who have received a second chance, for those who have made a wonderful gift of living donation, and for the families who make selfless decisions in moments of profound loss. Through this journey, I hope to amplify the mission of Donate Life and inspire others to consider the lifesaving impact of organ donation.
