About 2025 Annual Fund
Central Montessori Academy (CMA) is a private, independent school providing authentic Montessori education from toddler and pre-school through 6th-grade levels.
At CMA, we embrace the whole child. We foster academic, social, and emotional development within an authentic Montessori environment and curriculum.
CMA has created a nurturing space where every child is respected as an individual. They are taught to be independent, self-motivated, and to discover who they are and who they want to become.
Each child is valued as part of the community, shown how to socialize in a healthy way with both peers and adults, and cultivates a sense of responsibility and mindfulness towards others.
CMA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all donations are tax-deductible.

2025 Annual Fund
The 2025 Annual Fund is the cornerstone of our success and directly supports our mission to provide a high-quality Montessori education. This vital fund plays a critical role in ensuring that key areas such as educational programs, classroom resources, operating budget, capital improvements, and financial aid are fully supported. By contributing to the Annual Fund, you are helping CMA maintain its commitment to nurturing curious, independent learners in a diverse and inclusive environment.
What is the Annual Fund?
This is a great question! Our school, like all other private schools, sets its tuition below its cost and makes up the difference through tax-deductible gifts to our Annual Fund, as well as other areas of contributed support. Gifts to the Annual Fund are used in the fiscal year in which they are received and provide supplemental funding for the day-to-day operating budget for our school, which may include offsetting the cost of teachers’ benefits and professional development, student enrichment programs, and facility needs.
It’s through the generosity of our entire community—parents, grandparents, alumni, extended family members, staff, school board, businesses, and friends of CMA—that we can sustain and grow our offerings.

CMA Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO)
The CMA Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) is used to provide academic scholarships to low to moderate-income families. These scholarships help CMA maintain a diverse student body, which is a core principle of the Montessori philosophy that we prioritize at our school.
Although everyone has to pay Ohio income taxes, you can choose how your Ohio income tax dollars are designated if you contribute to an SGO.
Ohio taxpayers who donate to CMA's SGO can receive a non-refundable Ohio income tax credit equal to the amount you donate, making the gift of zero cost to you or your family.
With a little financial planning, you can donate to the 2025 Annual Fund now and also plan to make a zero-cost contribution to the CMA SGO during tax season.
